Conveyor belts for underground mining operations
Modern mining operations call for conveyor belt installations coping with ever-increasing volumes, centre distances, larger belt widths and lifting heights. For mining operations, particularly solid woven single-ply textile belts stood the test of time being inexpensive and very robust. Such conveyor belts are available up to strengths of approx. 3,500 N/mm belt width.
For regular conveyor belt loads in mining operations there are two- and multi-ply rubber EP belts with cover thicknesses ranging from 1.5/1.5 up to 4.0/2.0 or 6.0/4.0. Strength ranges from 400/3 to 1,250/3 and from 800/2 to 1,600/2. Covers may be made of PVC or PVC-Rubber, depending on the type of operations
Covers can be optimised to meet the following challenges
- Flexibility
- Wear resistance
- Oil resistance
- Chemicals resistance
- Heat resistance for temperatures of up to ca. 250° C
Our company provides the fitting splicing materials for all makes of conveyor belts. These were designed for optimum hot joining technology.
