Before switching to STARCLEAN® scrapers, the gravel processing plant used various types of scrapers from other manufacturers. Problems frequently arose with the cleaning and wear of the conveyor belts. This led to lower productivity due to downtimes to facilitate cleaning work. The primary goal was to ensure more effective and gentle cleaning of the conveyor belt to minimize the need for cleaning and make the plant more efficient.
Solution
After testing our scrapers, the operators of the gravel processing plant decided to convert the conveyor belts. The use of our STARCLEAN® products proved to be extremely beneficial. Our type 85n carbide primary scrapers and type 82n polyurethane primary scrapers were installed on the discharge drum, and our type 53n and 53Sn secondary scrapers on the return part of the belt.
